The ITIL® Intermediate Examination has been designed to provide you with a valid assessment of your IT Service Management knowledge.

EXAM FORMAT
This online Examination consists of 8 scenario based complex multiple choice questions and will take 90 minutes to complete. The questions will be marked using gradient scoring where marks will be awarded as follows:
  • 5 marks for the most correct answer
  • 3 marks for the partially correct answer
  • 1 for the least correct answer
  • 0 marks for the distractor
EXAMINATION MARKS
  • It is the panels recommendation that the pass mark is 65% and selection of at least 4 of the best answers and a distinction score will be awarded if a candidate achieves 75% with 4 of the best answers, however the results of the pilots may still have some impact on the final marking scheme.
  • A pass mark of 65% is 26 out of a total possible score of 40 marks.
